An exciting new project, led by a collaboration group of eight local Headteachers, is beginning here in Goat Lees.
This site will enable you to gain general information about the building project, a contact point for communication with the Headteachers' Collaboration Group and include other information that we hope you will find useful.

Planned opening date SEPTEMBER 2013
- The Ashford Primary Headteachers’ Collaboration will lead this project for your community.
- It is proposed that the school will open with a full Foundation Stage class (4 to 5 year olds) of up to 30 pupils and some mixed age classes in the other year groups.
- The school will eventually have seven classes, one for each year group in the primary phase.
- Architects are currently being chosen to submit proposals for their design of the school to the KCC.
Update - 16-5-2012
Welcome back! We are delighted to announce that the project to open Goat Lees School is well and truly back on track.
After a delay caused by a dispute over land ownership. We are now looking at the school opening for September 2013. As the sponsors of the school we are excited to see things now progressing again and at a apace!

The Headteachers’ Collaboration Group would like to invite residents of Goat Lees to attend an initial planning consultation on: Thursday, 16th June from 4-7pm at the Goat Lees Community Hall

- Give us your thoughts and feedback…
Update - 20-5-2011
Much has been going on behind the scenes at the Goat Lees site...
- 8 weeks of ecological surveys have been completed
- Engineering teams have been appointed
- Archaeological surveys have been commissioned
- And Geo/Tech surveys have been commissioned
- Diggers are on site - they will be digging 25 trenches so that they can complete the archaeological and technical surveys!
It's beginning to get exciting...
