Beyond the School Gates: Celebrating External Sporting Success at Goat Lees Primary School!

At our school, we believe that talent and dedication should be celebrated wherever they shine. We are incredibly proud of our pupils who pursue their sporting passions outside of school hours, from club football and martial arts to gymnastics, swimming, and dance. To honour their hard work and grit, we have launched this dedicated space on our website to showcase their external achievements. We would also like to share these achievements in our celebration assembly on Friday.

If your child has recently celebrated a sporting milestone, earned a new belt, or competed in a weekend tournament, we want to hear about it! Please share their success stories and photos with us so we can inspire our entire school community and celebrate their amazing dedication together.

George Year 5

George, played in his first official Kent Cricket Matches. Yay! 5 days of Cricket! George fielded for every single T16 match, batted in 4 and bowled in 4. Out of the 5 matches, his side won 2. He did really well and was a great team mate and sportsman, not bad for one of the youngest members of his squad (youngest bowler on his team) and during a heatwave too. 

 

Elsie Year 3

Elsie took part in a virtual reality competition under the Gymnastics Britannia membership which included teams all over Kent. In total, there were 295 competitors and Elsie came 1st in her category! She was in the bar and vault routine Under 13s category, and won despite only being 8!
