Year 1 had such a lovely time at Godinton House. Helen read some Christmas stories to us and we were wowed by the ENORMOUS Christmas tree and the beautiful decorations. We also got a chocolately Christmas treat! We are very greatful to everyone at Godinton House for providing this for us - thank you so much for everyone who took the time to make us feel very welcome.

The Friends of Goat Lees (FOGL) surprised us with a pantomime for a Christmas treat. It was loud and lots of fun as we all got to dance the Macarena and some of us were even invited onto the stage.

On Friday 6th December we had our Christmas Fair. This was organised by our new Friends of Goat Lees team (FOGL) and it was very well attended, raising just over £1000 for the school. There were many stalls including the tombola, raffle, spin the wheel, splat Santa, surprise bags and many more. Thank you to those who organised this and also ran a stall. If you would like to be involved in FOGL, or could spare some time running a stall at one of our fairs, please drop into the school office and your details will be passed on.

We had a great time fundraising for Children in Need. Our school councillors decided that every class should run a different activity so we would all be involved – this also helped us to gain our fundraising badge for Superkind. There was a lot to do during the day including a human fruit machine, pie the teacher, cake sale, guess the number of sweets in the jar and a gladiator style assault course. We raised £349 which for a small school is amazing! Thank you to everyone who sent in a donation.
