The children had plenty of time to explore many of the interactive displays that fill the hallways there. They used a hoover to lift themselves up and generated their own electricity using a hand crank, which powered lights, a train, and a radio. The children were able to conduct different tests involving powerful magnets, as well as many other exciting science experiments. This year, we took part in Keep Britain Tidy campaign - Great Big School Clean. Each class went on a litter pick around our local area. We learnt how to do this carefully using gloves and litter pickers and we were very sad with the amount of litter that we collected. 

Angora had a great afternoon learning about acorns, nests and making seed bombs. A huge thank you to Countryside Learning, Otterden Estate for the opportunity!

The beginning of term saw us celebrating World Book Day and our love of reading at Goat Lees. We shared stories with our buddy classes, had the opportunity to get a new (to us) book at our book swap events, designed and decorated story-themed hot-air balloons for the library, sampled new books and authors at a book café and by playing musical chairs, created book boxes to showcase books we love and, of course, many of us chose to dress up as a favourite character.
