Billy Class have had a wonderfully busy second term at school! We loved visiting Godinton House earlier on in the term where we explored the changes in the environment throughout the seasons, went on a scavenger hunt and looked out for different habitats.
We have loved getting to know the newest children to join the Goat Lees family. Throughout Term 1, they have been very busy learning new routines and making new friends. There has also been lots of time for superheroes and learning through play. We can't wait to see what else they get up to this year!
We had a visit into school from a beekeeper who brought in an observation hive of honeybees for us to see. She let us smell the honeycomb, look for the queen, listen to the sound of 3,000 bees moving around inside the hive, and taste two different honeys. She showed us her beekeeper gear and told us loads of facts about honeybees! We also went to Godinton house to look for bees, fortunately they seemed to be well trained so two of them posed nicely behind their identification photo for us! We listened to a story about bees and then created our own fuzzy paper bees to go and pollinate the garden....
