Year 5 had A LOT of fun at their Class Christmas Party, where we played lots of silly games. Thank you to everyone who sent in some party food, there was even enough to have some snacks during our Christmas film on the last day of school.

This term, the children have been learning all about our local area. They took part in fieldwork walks to explore the surroundings of the school, practising observation and simple navigation skills. We also had a visit from our local PSCO and learned about how he helps us in our community.  In Science, the children investigated different materials and discussed which materials are best suited for particular purposes.  We greatly enjoyed reading On Sudden Hill, which inspired the children to write letters to the characters to offer help, as well as taking part in an exciting...

The whole school had a wonderful treat with a visit from Father Christmas. We're very pleased he took some time out of his very busy schedule!

We have ended our term with our class Nativity production to parents. This is always such a highlight in the year for everyone and we were amazed with the number of new songs the children learnt.
